The photo above is Prahaska's Tavern before it became Beroun Tap and Cafe, then Luedtke's Bar. There is more information on that in the book. The front two people are Bill Kuzel and Lydia (Haberman) Plisek. This photo was submitted by George Haaberman.

These photos are all from an album. I will try to add more. Thanks to Blondie and Lyn (Luedtke) Anderson, and Carol Luedtke.

Below is a photo of the Beroun Pavillion, later known as the Hi-Lite. It is located on Highway 61 a little north of town.

Shima house with the Beroun Pavillion in the background. Harold and Martha (Shima) Karnowski holding their son Tom.

The photo below is circa 1945. I added it to this page because it just kind of flowed with the photo above, and where these homes were respectively. The information on the bottom photo is from Mark Karnowski, gransdson of Tom and Josephine (Chalupnik) Shima. All of the Pavillion photos are from Mark.

In this photo are Martha (Shima) Karnowski, sitting on the steps is Earnest Chalupnik and his eldest son John, then, sitting in a chair on back part of the porch is T.J. Shima, Standing next to the steps is Josie Shima holding Ernie's eldest daughter, Ruth Anne and, sitting on the ledge on the right is Ann Marie Pulkrabek.

Ann Marie was raised by Tom and Josie Shima after her mother (Anna Chalupnik-Pulkrabek) died when Ann Marie was only one year old.  I found out only last year that Josie Shima was Beroun's mid-wife and delivered many of the babies born in the 20's and 30's.  I was told that Anna was aware that she had a treatable liver disease but that by curing the disease her unborn baby (Ann Marie) would die.  So Anna refused treatment and gave birth to Ann Marie and then died of the liver disease a year later.  All of Anna's children (there were four) were "adopted" by various townspeople except for Ann Marie.  So Tom & Josie decided to raise her as their own.

The photo on the left is of Joe Mikyska. He is sitting outside of the bar/cafe that was in Hegny's garage, run by Lydia and Lois Chalupsky. It was on Highway 61. The picture can be found in the book.

The top photo is dated 1962. Bud Odendahl is with his kids, Brian and Susie. Bud had the body shop. Info in the book.

These are photos of the original Beroun Saloon owned by Dick and Barb Mikyska. Info in the book.

CG's Bar and Grill opened its doors in 1997.

The Beroun Saloon was burnt down on June 13th, 2015.
