The photo above shows a portion of the house that sat between the Bank and Rys' Bar. It was first the home to Thomas and Josephine Shima who ran the hotel and Confectioner Shop (photo in book). Later it became the home to James and Emma Kuzel. Jim and Liz Kuzel and family lived there later.

The Jim Kuzel family is in the picture to the left.

Liz Kuzel and Muriel Splichal are in the picture above standing next to the Kuzel house.which was taken down in the late 80's or early 90's.

These are just a few of the homes that were in Beroun in the early years.

The house on the top left was Lydia and Louis Chalupskys in the 30's-40's. It was also the home of the Bell family, Frank and Adeline Luedtke, and the Ludwigs. It stood where Hopkins building stands today.

Aldrich Finger lived in the next house. It was also called the 'creamery house'. Apparently some of the people who worked at the creamery lived there. It was home to the Bell family for many years. It still stands today, and sold for $12,000 in 2011.

Ella Kub lived in the next house. It was torn down in the late 70's. The arial view of Beroun, which is in the book, lists the next house as Chabs. It later became the home to Emma Soukup. It was torn down by John and Pat Swarmer in the late 90's.

The Dick Miller family bought the next house in the 40's. They paid $900 for it. It still stands today.

The Adamacks lived in the next house until the early 50's. It later became the home to Vincent Mikyska.  Earl and Jody Odendahl lived there with their family, and then it became the home to the Novotnys .  It sits empty today.

Lydia and Louis Chalupsky bought the next house in the early 40's for $800. It was one of the few houses in Beroun with indoor plumbing.

The Strokrich's lived in the next house. It sits across from the school and is still a nice looking house.

The green house is the Zemek house. It still stands today but it has a second floor addition and it is tan. It is west of the parish house.

The last house was home to Anton and Mathilda Pavek. Later it was home to the Hendersons. Margaret Kryzer lived there for many years, and today it is the home to Donny and Amanda Brown.

Tom and Josephine Shima lived in the house on the bottom left of this page. The porch was taken off, but it is still standing today. It stands next to what was once the Beroun Pavillion, and later the Hi-Lite, which the Shimas owned.

The next house was the home to Joseph and Albina Pavelka. It was moved  south of its original spot when the service road was built in 1953. It is the white house on the west side of highway 61 as you enter Beroun.

The house to the right was the new house that the Pavelkas moved into in the 50's. It stands on the service road north of Hopkins Sand and Gravel.

The bottom left is one of the oldest homes which no longer stands. It stood somewhere in the area of the Beroun School.

This house was behind the creamery I was told. Frank Runa is the man.

A garage is being built at the Chalupsky home.

Al Mikyska, and Dick Mikyska in the foreground building Al's garage.

I believe that this is Adeline Luedtke behind the bar.

                                            This is Lydia Chalupsky

This photo is from Roy Reiser. It was Roy and Adeline's wedding, 1948. The farm house in the background was the Soukup farm east on Beroun Crossing Road. It burnt down one afternoon in 1955while Adeline was baking bread in the cook stove. They built their new house on the site, where Roy still lives today. I'm still working on the names of all the people.

Lillian Barton, Gordy Pavek, Regina Swanson, Willard Bartos, Harold Reiser, Emily and Raymond Skalicky, Jane and Laddie Branzovsky,                                                                                                 Robert Reiser and cousin of the bride, Shirley Mattson, Adeline and Roy Reiser, and Aggie and Kenny Reiser.

This is the Joe Prochaska Family. Taken in 1947. Joe owned the Blacksmith Shop and also tProchaska's Bar. Pictures and info in the book.
